Mariah Fund's 2016 Grant Session Opens for Application-March 1, 2016

May 6, 2015

Mariah Fund's 2016 grant application session will formally open on March 1, 2016.   Applications are recommended to be submitted on-line through the Mariah Fund website. Please register on-line to gain access to the application procedures. Final acceptance of applications for qualifying grants will be April 1, 2016.  Successful applicants will be notified by not later than May 1, 2016.

Mariah Fund's Board of Directors announced that they would accept grant applications for the development of Cultural, Heritage and Tourism related projects in Southwest Kansas, with a focus on a 'Hub-and-Spoke' marketing plan that directs visitors to Dodge City, Kansas - while benefiting those attraction and entity projects along the various routes of travel.  Project funding applications may be for both marketing/media campaigns, or capital improvements wherein a site-specific asset will contribute to the attraction of near and out-of-area visitors.

Mariah Fund notes that it continues to not be interested in funding the promotion of 'Events' (meaning costs associated with entertainment, expenses of travel, etc.) but does consider funding the Marketing of such events wherein out-of-area attendees are encouraged to visit Dodge City and Southwest Kansas.

All applicants are encouraged to closely review Mariah Fund's Grant Guidelines in completing their applications.
